Studio Rental Terms and Conditions
1) Security Deposit
1.1) A refundable security deposit of $200 for the main space (including nursing room) is required per reservation.
1.2) An additional security deposit applies if you choose to rent in-house baby items (product list and T&C here).
1.3) Security Deposit Refund Process: The space inspection will be conducted within 24 hours of the rental end time.
1.4) The security deposit will be fully refunded via PayNow within 5 business days after inspection for damages.
1.5) Forfeiture of Security Deposit: The Client’s refundable security deposit, in part or full, may be forfeited under the following conditions, in which TMS will notify the Client of any damages found:
1.5.1) Report any space damage immediately to hello@themotherhoodspace.co to ensure readiness for the next client.
1.5.2) TMS may retain the security deposit or request additional compensation for issues impacting the next reservation, such as late check-outs or significant damages. Compensation for damages will be based on an official repair company quotation, and the client must pay the full repair cost.
1.5.3) Full or Partial Forfeiture applies if the space has:
Smoke smell
Animal fur or waste
Obvious cracks or peeling
Large scratches or dents
Discoloration
Permanent stains
Missing or damaged parts
Vomit, urine, or feces
2) Payment Process
2.1) A full payment and security deposit must be paid within 24 hours to secure the reservation.
2.2) Payment can be made via PayNow to 9004 9953 (The Motherhood Space).
3) Before Your Event
3.1) You will receive an email containing the access passcode 24 hours before your event start time.
3.2) Late arrivals are the Client’s responsibility, and the rental period starts as scheduled.
3.3) TMS is not responsible for sending reservation reminders.
3.4) TMS uses on-site CCTV for security. Footage is disclosed only when necessary or upon request from relevant authorities with proper documentation.
4) Cancellation and Refunds
4.1) The Client is responsible to notify TMS officially via Email for any cancellation decision.
4.2) TMS will respond to any cancellation request within 48 hours.
4.3) Refunds:
> 60 days before event: 90%
> 30 days before event: 50%
< 30 days before event: 30%
< 14 days before event: 0%
5) Postponement
5.1) The Client must officially notify TMS via email for any postponement requests.
5.2) TMS will respond to any postponement request within 48 hours.
5.3) Clients may postpone once, subject to space availability, including postponement fees (see below Clause 5.2.8).
5.4) The new rental date must be within 3 months of the original booking.
5.5) Medical Exceptions: If Client’s child falls ill or a direct family member of the Client is hospitalised, the postponement may be extended to 6 months with a doctor’s letter (case-by-case review).
5.6) The Client can also pass on the booked period to another person by informing TMS prior to avoid reservation confusion.
5.7) Once the rental duration has begun, postponement is strictly not allowed.
5.8) Postponement Fees:
Change to a lower-priced period: No refund of price difference
Change to a higher-priced period: Client pays the price difference
> 14 days before event: Top up 10% of total rental fee
< 14 days before event: Top up 20% of total rental fee
6) After Your Event
6.1) If there are any late departures or intentional requests, extension charges are $100 per additional hour.
6.2) TMS will not send reminders for rental end times.
6.3) The Client must report any severe hygiene incidents (e.g., spills, stains from vomit, food, bodily fluids, or markers) promptly to TMS. Cleaning supplies are available on a complimentary basis for immediate use to prevent damage to the space's flooring.
6.4) The Client is responsible for compensating TMS for any income loss if the next Client requests a refund due to an unfit environment caused by these incidents.
7) Liability
7.1) By reserving and using the event space at The Motherhood Space, the Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Motherhood Space, its owners, employees, and agents from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses sustained during the event, including but not limited to accidents, property damage, or personal injury.
7.2) The Client is accountable for the behavior of all guests and participants during the event, including preventing underage alcohol consumption. The Client must also ensure the space is used safely and adheres to all TMS policies.
7.3) TMS is not liable for any personal property left within the premises.
